Tip: Use our links to check your public holiday dates
The public holidays on this page are only a guide and don’t reflect the full list of dates for each state and territory.
For a list of all public holiday dates, visit your state or territory’s website, which is linked with your state or territory list.
Each state and territory sets its own public holidays. Some states and territories:
- add or substitute public holidays when one falls on a weekend, while others don’t
- have regional public holidays
- have public holidays that are only for a capital city.
Our information is based on the public holiday lists that each state and territory make publicly available. We list state or territory-wide holidays, capital city holidays and some regional holidays.
