Calculating overtime & penalty rates for casuals in the Supported Employment Services Award
Different rates are used to calculate overtime and penalty rates for casuals.
Overtime rates are calculated on the ordinary hourly rate.
The ordinary hourly rate is made up of:
- the minimum hourly rate
- any applicable all purpose allowances.
The overtime rates for casuals include the 25% casual loading.
Penalty rates are calculated on the casual ordinary hourly rate.
The casual ordinary hourly rate is made up of:
- the ordinary hourly rate
- the 25% casual loading.
The casual loading is calculated on the ordinary hourly rate.
