Do casuals get overtime pay?

From the first full pay period starting on or after 1 January 2018 (ppc 1 January 2018), casuals get overtime pay.

They get overtime for working:

• more than 38 ordinary hours per week, or more than 38 hours per week averaged over a roster cycle

• more than 12 hours per day or shift.

Prior to ppc 1 January 2018, casuals didn’t get overtime pay.
