What is MyPortal?
The minimum rates of pay and penalty rates that apply to your employees are determined by both the Restaurant Award and the pre-modern award that would have applied to your business before 1 January 2010.
You will find links to Pay and Conditions Guides for common pre-modern awards in the restaurants and cafes industry below. These are ordered based on the state or territory where they apply.
Pay and Conditions Guides provide a summary of current minimum rates of pay, allowances, and other entitlements that apply to your employees. They also provide information on how to calculate penalty rates.
If you are not sure which pre-modern award would have applied to you, use Award Finder or Contact us.
The links below will open a new window to the relevant award summary page, where you can download your Pay and Conditions Guide. You will also be able to access your modern award, pre-modern award and pay tools.
Note: Minimum wages may increase on 1 July each year. Always make sure you are using the most up-to-date Pay and Conditions Guide.
