Security incident at Sydney office

The Fair Work Ombudsman is reviewing its security following an incident at its Sydney office at 255 Elizabeth Street this morning.

The building was evacuated following the incident and police and emergency services were called to the site.

All staff are safe and secure.

Fair Work Ombudsman Nicholas Wilson says his first and primary concern is for the welfare of his staff, who should be able to feel safe and secure in their workplace.

He says the security incident is of significant concern and there will be a thorough review of Agency security.

Front counter services from the Sydney office have been temporarily suspended. The Fair Work Infoline operates from 8am to 6pm on 13 13 94.
