PayCheck Plus allows you to calculate a full 7 day shift, including all allowances and penalties.
To commence shift calculations, a user should enter the date of the first shift worked within a pay period. The system enables you to calculate 7 shifts within 7 days from the date of the first shift you enter.
You do not need to enter times for a day you didn’t work within the 7 day period.
All times should be entered in 24 hour format. Shift times for an employee finishing at midnight should be entered as 00:00 (not 24:00).
- Enter the start date of the first shift within the pay period you want to calculate.
Select ‘add’ (PayCheck Plus will automatically display the next 7 calendar days from your shift).
- Enter the working hours and break times for each of the shifts worked during that pay period.
Enter allowance details for shifts
All break times previously entered into the system will automatically be applied to the allowance calculations.
If you select the allowance name (in blue), a description of the allowance will be displayed.
If your allowance is calculated per hour or per shift you’ll need to select the shift to which it applies. If your allowance applies to more than one shift, you can select ‘add again’ to repeat the process.
You can apply an allowance to all shifts by selecting ‘all’ from the shift options. If your allowance is paid for specific times within your shift, you can also enter when it should be applied.
All-purpose allowances are automatically applied once per hour for all hours in the selected shift.
Enter hours for penalties (for shift)
All break times previously entered into the system will automatically be applied to the penalty calculations. PayCheck Plus will deduct meal breaks from the overall shift total.
If you click on the penalty name (in blue), a description of the penalties selected will be displayed.
- Select the shift date when the penalty applies and enter the specific times when the penalty should apply during the shift. You can apply a penalty to more than one shift by selecting ‘add again.’
