Immediate Investigation Into Alleged Workplace Law Breaches at Belvedere Nursing Home

Australia’s Workplace Ombudsman has launched an immediate investigation into alleged breaches of workplace law at the Belvedere Park aged care facility in the Melbourne suburb of Sydenham.

The investigation follows reports that nurses at the aged care facility may be subject to unlawful workplace relations practices by their employer including not being paid for work they perform.

The Workplace Ombudsman’s Executive Director of Field Operations Bill Loizides said “If these allegations are correct then it is utterly unlawful. We are investigating immediately to determine exactly what has occurred and will then take appropriate action.”
