Classifications

A classification is the level allocated to the type of work that your employee is performing. Modern awards contain many different classifications, and these are defined in the award based on your employee’s job.

The Vehicle Award contains 4 different streams which apply to employees performing certain kinds of work. The table below highlights the award clauses that apply to each of the streams. This table also describes some, but not all, of the job titles that may be contained within the stream.

Check the relevant schedule and award clauses for details about the different classifications in each stream and the entitlements that employees receive.
