When you hire a part-time employee, you must come to an agreement with them about a regular pattern of work. The agreement must be in writing and include:
- the number of hours to be worked each day
- the days of the week the employee will work
- the actual starting and finishing times for each day.
Any changes to this agreement must be agreed between you and your employee. You should record any changes in writing, and keep a copy of the agreement as well as giving your cleaning employee a copy.
