People from the Pacific region and Timor-Leste can work in Australia on a short-term basis under the Seasonal Worker Program. The program is open to employers in:
- the horticulture industry across Australia
- the accommodation industry and the sugar cane, cotton and fisheries industries in some locations across Australia.

If you want to participate in the program, contact the Department of Employment for information. They’ll give you information about how you can get involved and how to hire seasonal workers.
Seasonal workers participating in the program have the same rights at work as other people working in Australia.
