You can help educate apprentices and trainees on their rights at work, by downloading for free the article or one of the notices on this page to include in your school newsletter.
For high school students, an apprenticeship or traineeship can be a great way to gain valuable work experience and skills, while earning money and working towards a recognised qualification.
However, many young apprentices and trainees are uninformed about their workplace rights and entitlements, and as a result, may be missing out on pay, leave, allowances and conditions.

Notices
N.B You are welcome to download the notices on this page. We have provided a quarter A4 page portrait notice, or a quarter A4 page landscape notice. However, please stretch or shrink the notices using the corner stretch tool only, so the notice does not become distorted. The text should also be kept large enough to be easily read and colours should not be changed.
My Employment checklist
The My Employment checklist is also a useful classroom resource, especially for students in years 10-12. The checklist asks questions about the basic workplace rights and rules every employee should know.
