If we decide to formally investigate your complaint, you need to give us as much evidence as possible, such as copies of:
- pay slips
- PAYG summaries
- time and wages records
- any correspondence with your employer
- employment declaration forms
- written contracts
- relevant employer policies and forms
- diary records.
Should any of the above documents be needed your Inspector will request them as appropriate.
If you don't have copies of these documents
If you don’t have copies of these supporting documents, we'll still be able to deal with your workplace complaint.
What if my employer doesn't give me these?
If, for example, your employer doesn't give you pay slips, then they aren't complying with Commonwealth workplace laws. This is an issue we would likely speak to your employer about directly.
