Division 2B wage calculation worksheet

The Division 2B wage calculation worksheet will help you calculate transitional pay rates that apply to full-time and part-time employees working for sole traders, partnerships or other unincorporated entities in New South Wales, Queensland, South Australia or Tasmania.

The conditions in modern awards apply to Division 2B employers from 1 February 2011.

Generally, Division 2B employers pay the same rate as employers who were in the national workplace relations systems before 1 January 2010. This is known as the transitional NAPSA rate. However, in some cases you may need to pay the modern award rate.

Who should use this worksheet?

You can use this worksheet to calculate rates of pay if all of the following apply:

  • The business is a sole trader, partnership or other unincorporated entity in New South Wales, Queensland, South Australia or Tasmania
  • The business employed staff before 1 January 2010
  • You are not affected by the special transitional provisions outlined in the Other transitional provisions section
  • You want to find the base rate of pay for a full-time or part-time employee.
