Departmental file listing

The Senate Continuing Order No. 10 requires all Commonwealth Government agencies to provide an indexed list of relevant files on their website. 'Relevant files' are defined as files relating to policy advising functions, including any relating to developing legislation and other matters of public administration. 

Every six months, the Fair Work Ombudsman prepares an indexed list, commonly known as the Harradine Report. Indexed lists may contain file titles partly removed and replaced by asterisks, to protect personal or commercially confidential information. 
Indexed lists may also completely remove:

  • files transferred to the National Archives of Australia 
  • case related files (e.g. personal representations or dealings with the personal affairs clients) 
  • files essentially related to our internal administration (e.g. staff or personnel matters).
